MOMAX PILATES® IN MUNICH & BERLIN-MITTE

In Munich, you will find three MOMAX PILATES® studios – at Roecklplatz, Impler, and in Solln.

In the heart of the lively Dreimühlen district, right at Roecklplatz, founder Monica Gomis created the very first location – a place that perfectly reflects her concept of innovative, intense, and holistic Pilates training.

The second location is at Impler, at Implerstraße 84 in the Sendling district – modern, filled with natural light, and guided by the same clear philosophy of quality and precision.

In Solln, at Wolfratshauser Straße 236, the third studio offers a calm and welcoming environment for your training experience.

More recently, MOMAX PILATES® has also opened in Berlin-Mitte – our first location outside of Munich. Here, we bring our Reformer concept to the capital, creating a space for movement, balance, and inner strength – right in the heart of Berlin.

The course concept of the internationally successful dancer, choreographer, and Pilates trainer, together with her team of certified MOMAX PILATES® instructors, is also personally tailored:

Whether in personal training or in classes with deliberately small groups for Matwork Pilates and Reformer Pilates, as well as the various workout classes, the training is always adapted to the needs, expectations, and requirements of each participant — regardless of whether they are a beginner or advanced.

Monica Gomis

Monica Gomis, born in Alcoy near Valencia, Spain, is today a Pilates instructor and the founder of MOMAX PILATES®, following an international career as a dancer and choreographer in New York, Brussels, Seoul, and Munich.

Classical ballet training in Spain, and studies in “Authentic Movement” and “Contemporary Dance” at the Laban Institute in New York.

30-year career as a dancer in international productions.

  • 2003: Six-month teaching assignment at the Korean National University of Arts in Seoul, Korea.
  • Since 2004, she has been active as a choreographer with numerous productions at international festivals.
  • From 2007, in collaboration with the Cultural Department of the City of Munich, she developed the international series “Body Territories,” which explores the intersections between dance and science.
  • 2015 and 2016: Implementation of dance and music projects with local artists from Cuba at the festival “Habana Vieja: Ciudad en Movimiento.”
  • Decades of intensive use of Pilates as a complementary fitness training method in numerous studios worldwide during her international dance career.
  • 2016: Comprehensive training as a Pilates instructor for Mat and Reformer.
  • Founder of MOMAX PILATES® and developer of advanced training methods that integrate health-related elements from disciplines ranging from physiotherapy and osteopathy to dance and sport.
  • 2023: Research trip to New York to test innovative training trends in several Pilates studios and to integrate relevant developments into the course offerings at MOMAX PILATES®.
  • Further education in nutrition science, focusing on the basics of healthy nutrition, fat reduction, and muscle building at the Center for Naturopathy in Munich.
  • 2024: Intensive exploration of innovative developments in Pilates on the US West Coast of California, from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara, with workshops, individual and group training sessions in studios such as Gone Adventuring (private Reformer and Tower training with Kristine Chaussard), Amy Havens, Pilates and Or, Atwill, and co-training for a demonstration video for the online Pilates platform Pilatesanytime, featuring the new ELDOA technique with Ilaria Cavagna.
  • 2025: Extensive research and advanced training trip to Australia, including visits to numerous Pilates studios in Melbourne and Sydney, and testing various innovative Reformer training approaches, such as the integration of intensive strength training methods and the further development of individualized personal training.
