WHY
CONCEPT
The training and continuing education of fully competent Pilates trainers for Matwork and/or Reformer is today as demanding as it is diverse. What is required is the intensive teaching of theory and practice in preventive and therapeutic applications, enabling each participant to conduct both effective group training and highly individualized one-on-one sessions. This requires a training spectrum that, through the involvement of appropriate experts, also conveys elements beyond the boundaries of traditional Pilates applications, with the aim of addressing the whole body — ranging from theoretical and practical knowledge in general medicine and osteopathy to dance and sports, from sensorimotor training methods to active stress management.
The training and continuing education for Matwork and/or Reformer trainers according to the MOMAX METHOD already combines these requirements within the competence profile of the head of training. Monica Gomis, founder of the MOMAX PILATES® Trainer Academy, represents these principles through her professional background as an internationally successful dancer, choreographer, and fully trained and MOMAX PILATES® certified Matwork and Reformer trainer, which is reflected in the performative body and movement knowledge of the MOMAX METHOD.
The demanding training and continuing education program for Pilates Trainers Matwork and/or Reformer according to the MOMAX METHOD consists of five modules, each with two-day seminar units, in which theoretical foundations and practical training methods are systematically combined and taught. The program concludes with an examination to become a certified MOMAX PILATES® Trainer Matwork and/or Reformer. Graduates thus acquire the qualifications required to work as Pilates trainers in studios of their choice. Depending on suitability and interest, successful graduates may also have the opportunity to work as trainers in the MOMAX PILATES® studios of Monica Gomis.
